Abstracts:
The mathematical model of partial closure of the curvilinear crack in an isotropic plane using the local temperature change near the end of the crack was described. It is assumed that the interaction between the crack surfaces under external loads and induced thermoelastic stress field can lead to zones of overlap. Contact stresses, the size of contact zone, where the surfaces of curvilinear crack are closed, are found.
