Abstracts: | The article considers the application of the method of initial functions in the space of Fourier transforms to solving problems for a plane with a displacement discontinuity. Evensymmetric and odd-symmetric deformations relative to the crack axis are considered. The final solutions to all the problems are represented in the form of improper integrals. Examples are given in which three types of discontinuities are considered, differing in the smoothness of the discontinuity contour near its ends. The solutions are obtained quickly, simply and, unlike the classical solution, without using the theory of functions of a complex variable.
