Title:
REDUCING TH RESIDUAL STRESSES IN METALS AT TEMPERATURES THAT DO NOT LEAD TO PLASTIC FLOW
Keywords:
residual stresses, elastic-plastic deformations, plastic flow, rheology, annealing
temperature exposure.
Abstracts:
The process of removing the residual stresses in metal under heating is simulated. There
have been examined modes at the stages of slow heating to the temperature that do not lead to
plastic flow, holding at this temperature, and slow cooling stage. The holding stage is modeled
with consideration of creeping properties of materials. The boundary value problems are examined
and the patterns responsible for the removal of residual stresses are described. The analytical
solutions are obtained under the conditions of Norton’s creep.
