Abstracts:

An urgent problem of modern mechanical engineering is the production of castings of high dimensional and accuracy and unlimited geometry, provided by new technological processes that make it possible to implement the principles of resource and energy efficiency. The high utilization rate of materials in such processes is ensured, among other things, by the accuracy of the products obtained, which reduces the amount of casting machining. One of the options for the technological solution of the noted problem is the use of the process of pressing single-component powders of waxy materials in the formation of accurate porous removable models, the surface of which does not have thermal shrinkage defects. Compliance with the principles of efficiency outlined above for this process provides the possibility of a comprehensive implementation of the casting problems that are characteristic of most of the technological stages. A little-studied aspect of the process of compaction of powders of model materials is the stress-strain state of the formed compacts, which determines the need to search for options to eliminate the elastic response of the material. The paper presents the results of experimental studies of the influence of the composition of the compacted material on the magnitude of residual stresses, designed to correctly calculate the geometry of molds during their design.
