The aim of the journal is to introduce the Russian and international scientific community to new results of fundamental and applied research in the mechanics of the limit state and related areas of the mechanics of a deformable solid, and to support the development of scientific schools and the professional growth of young researchers.

Objectives

• to publish original, previously unpublished research results of demonstrable scientific novelty;
• to bring together scientists working on the limit state of solids, the theory of plasticity and inelastic deformation;
• to ensure qualified independent peer review of submitted manuscripts;
• to support postgraduate students and early-career researchers by providing a venue for publication;
• to disseminate results in open access and make them available through Russian and international citation systems.

Scope

The journal publishes original research articles and reviews in the following areas:

• limit state of bodies and structures, load-bearing capacity;
• theory of plasticity and creep;
• viscoelasticity and viscoplasticity;
• statics of granular media and rocks;
• fracture and stability of deformable bodies;
• other related areas of the mechanics of a deformable solid.

The scope corresponds to the scientific specialty 1.1.8 — Mechanics of a Deformable Solid (physical and mathematical sciences).
