The article template uses biblatex (style gost-numeric, backend biber) and produces two reference lists — ЛИТЕРАТУРА and REFERENCES. Configure TeXStudio (Windows) as follows.

1. Open the settings

Options → Configure TeXStudio.

2. Set the bibliography tool to Biber

Build tab → Default Bibliography Tool → Biber (txs:///biber). On the Commands tab make sure Biber = biber %. BibTeX is not used.

3. Set the build order (run Biber twice)

Build tab → Build & View → set this order:

Or, as a single line:

txs:///pdflatex | txs:///biber | txs:///pdflatex | txs:///biber | txs:///pdflatex | txs:///pdflatex | txs:///view-pdf

Biber must run twice: the REFERENCES list is built from the cited keys and becomes complete only after the first Biber pass. A single pass leaves REFERENCES empty. Click OK.

4. Build and check

Press F5 (Build & View). Both ЛИТЕРАТУРА and REFERENCES must appear and be numbered; \cite{…} must resolve (no “[?]”).

If REFERENCES is empty

• Delete the auxiliary files (.aux, .bcf, .bbl, .run.xml, .blg) and rebuild.
• Make sure every cited key has a matching <key>eng entry in bibtex/author.bib (e.g. bibauthor3 → bibauthor3eng).
• Use the PdfLaTeX engine (not XeLaTeX/LuaLaTeX). On a version mismatch “Biber … expected”, update the TeX distribution.
