Publication Ethics: Responsibilities of Authors


The journal adheres to international standards of publication ethics, including the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). By submitting a manuscript, authors accept the obligations set out below.

  • to submit original, previously unpublished results; plagiarism and self-plagiarism are not permitted;
  • not to submit the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously;
  • to list as authors all those who made a significant contribution to the work and no one who did not;
  • to ensure the integrity of the data, to cite sources correctly, and to disclose funding sources and any conflict of interest;
  • to warrant the absence of any conflict of interest and the consent to publication of the institution where the research was carried out;
  • to notify the editorial office promptly of any significant error found in a published work so that it can be corrected or retracted.

Use of artificial intelligence

  • generative artificial-intelligence tools (including large language models such as ChatGPT) may not be listed as authors or co-authors, as they cannot bear responsibility for the content;
  • any use of AI tools in preparing the manuscript (text editing or translation, data processing or analysis, image generation, etc.) must be disclosed, stating the name of the tool and the nature of its use, in the Acknowledgements or in the description of the methods;
  • authors bear full responsibility for all content of the manuscript, including parts produced with the help of AI, and must verify its accuracy, reliability and freedom from plagiarism;
  • the use of AI to fabricate or falsify data, results or images is not permitted.
