The reference list should reflect the authors' coverage of current publications on the topic, including international sources. Self-citation must not exceed 30% of the list, and no more than 20 sources are allowed. Only works cited in the article are included; the numbering follows the order of citation in the text; references to unpublished works are not permitted. References are formatted according to the current GOST standard (GOST R 7.05–2008).

In-text citations

Citations are mandatory and are made with the \cite command and the corresponding key; in the text they appear as a number in square brackets, e.g. [14]. References to foreign sources are given in the original language.

Reference identifiers: DOI and EDN

For precise identification and linking of references (in Crossref and the RSCI), each entry carries its persistent identifiers:

• DOI — mandatory for articles where available;
• EDN — mandatory for Russian-language sources (the persistent identifier of a publication in the Russian Science Citation Index, eLibrary.ru).

The EDN and DOI of a source can be looked up or verified using the eLibrary service: elibrary.ru/find_edn_list.asp.

The English list (References)

For a Russian-language source, its published translation is given if one exists. If there is no translation, transliteration is used; the English translation of the title is given in square brackets, and the language of publication is noted at the end of the entry — (in Russian).

Preparation in BibTeX

The list is prepared in a single BibTeX file (author.bib) containing both the Russian and the English entries. The key of an English entry matches the Russian one with the suffix eng; its DOI and EDN are the same as in the Russian entry. Example:
