The problem of central tension of a homogeneous and multilayer concrete rod by quasi-static loads is considered. The force of gravity acting on the rod is taken as a distributed load. The ultimate loads and elongations of the rod are determined depending on the physical parameters of the rod. At a deformation below the limiting elastic one, it is assumed that the concrete deforms linearly, otherwise it is non-linearly inelastic. Examples of calculations based on the obtained ratios for layered rods of the same mass are given, where different grades of concrete can be realized in each layer.
