Abstracts:
A method is proposed for determining the sums of trigonometric series based on a comparison of the mechanical state of a loaded rod and the function u(x,t) – the displacement of the transverse planes of the latter, the arguments of which are time t and the x coordinate of the rod. The function u(x,t) is, in turn, a solution to a differential equation that describes the mechanical state of a body under the influence of external forces. The results obtained are not observed in the extended reference book.
