 Fracture model, based on the study of fracture process zone near the crack tip is proposed for rotating disk. It is assumed that the prefracture zone is a layer of finite length, in which between the separate structural elements of material the bonds are partially broken (end zone). The presence of the interfacial bonds in the end zone is modeled by application to the crack surface the cohesive forces caused by the presence of bonds. The dependence of limit rotational velocity of the annular disk on the crack length is obtained.
