Title:
On the question of cylindrical waves in elastic media
The problem of propagation of a cylindrical compression wave in an elastic medium is considered. The values of radial displacements of medium points and radial stresses are obtained. Asymptotic estimates of the obtained solutions for the displacement field in the medium at large distances from the wave sources are given, as well as the statistical distribution of the displacement of the medium.
