Requirements for Articles

Articles are accepted in Russian or English. A manuscript is submitted in two forms: electronically to predel21@mail.ru and in print to the editorial postal address; the electronic version must exactly match the printed one. No submission, review or publication fee is charged. Submitting a manuscript constitutes the author's (and co-authors') agreement to the journal's policies (see Licensing and Copyright); no separate contract is required.

What the journal publishes

  • original research articles (10–12 pages) and short communications (up to 6 pages) on the mechanics of the limit state and related topics; longer articles by agreement with the editorial board;
  • an article must be a completed study containing new results that have not been published before and are not under consideration elsewhere;
  • the topic must correspond to the scientific specialty 1.1.8 — Mechanics of a Deformable Solid;
  • all articles are screened for improper borrowing with the Antiplagiat system and undergo mandatory peer review (see Peer Review); the decision to publish is taken by the editorial board;
  • review articles and reviews of monographs are normally written at the invitation of the editorial board.

Submission package

  • the article in LaTeX 2e using the predel.sty style and its PDF version (see Article Sample (TeX) and Article Sample (PDF));
  • a single reference-list file in BibTeX format (e.g. author.bib) containing both the Russian and the English entries; the key of an English entry matches the Russian one with the suffix eng, and its DOI and EDN are the same as in the Russian entry;
  • figures as separate files in PDF or JPG at a resolution of at least 600 dpi;
  • a cover letter (see Cover Letter);
  • an expert clearance confirming that the material may be published in the open press, issued by the author's institution.

Article structure

An article must contain:

  • the title (as concise as possible; formulas are not allowed in the title) and a UDC index;
  • the list of authors in alphabetical order;
  • an abstract and keywords — requirements are given in the Abstract and Keywords section;
  • the main text (preferably divided into subsections) and a conclusion summarising the main results;
  • the title, keywords and abstract in English;
  • reference lists in Russian and English — formatting is given in the References section;
  • information on all authors in Russian and English: position with subdivision, academic degree and title, institution and its full postal address, e-mail, the ORCID (https://orcid.org) and AuthorID (https://elibrary.ru) identifiers;
  • an author-contribution statement, acknowledgements and funding sources (if any), and a conflict-of-interest declaration.

Formatting

The text is prepared in LaTeX 2e using the predel.sty style; modification of the standard style files is not permitted. Figures are supplied as separate files in PDF or JPG at a resolution of at least 600 dpi. Manuscripts that do not follow the rules are not considered.
