"Vestnik Chuvashskogo Gosudarstvennogo Pedagogicheskogo Universiteta im. I. Ya. Yakovleva. Seriya: Mekhanika Predel'nogo Sostoyaniya (Mechanics of Limit State)" has been published since 2007. It is a regular peer-reviewed scientific journal issued by the I. Yakovlev Chuvash State Pedagogical University to advance scientific research, support leading scientific schools, and train highly qualified specialists. The journal publishes original research results in the mechanics of the limit state and related areas that have not been published before and are not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Four regular issues are released each year. A submitted manuscript must be a completed study containing new scientific results.

Peer review. All submissions undergo mandatory double-blind peer review, with at least two independent reviewers assessing each manuscript before a publication decision is made.

Open access. This is a fully open access journal. All articles are made freely available immediately upon publication, with no embargo. Readers may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, and link to the full texts. Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license, and the authors retain copyright.

Author charges. The journal does not charge any author fees. There are no submission fees, no editorial processing charges, and no article processing charges (APCs).

ISSN 2073-5499. The journal is included in the current List of peer-reviewed scientific periodicals of the Higher Attestation Commission (VAK) of the Russian Federation, No. 885 (as of 29 April 2026), specialty 1.1.8 — Mechanics of a Deformable Solid (physical and mathematical sciences). The journal is also included in the Unified State List of Scientific Publications (EGPNI) — the RCSI "White List" of scientific periodicals (Level 3).
